In September, vehicle registrations in United States fell by 5.94% with respect to September of 1987. In total, 1,223,200 cars were registered and 15,604,400 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 1.12% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of September is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 400,900, 0.67% less than in September of 1987.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 822,300, which represents a figure of 8.32% less than in September of 1987.
