In March, vehicle registrations in United States fell by 11.12% with respect to March of 1988. In total, 1,337,600 cars were registered and 15,390,300 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 1.66% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of March is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 458,400, 9.5% less than in March of 1988.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 879,200, which represents a figure of 11.95% less than in March of 1988.
