Argentina had 7.9 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.34 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 3,069 recorded suicide cases in 2005, 2,403 were men suicides and 666 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 12.7 per 100,000 men and for women 3.4 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Argentina suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 2,198 homicides in Argentina, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.4 suicides.
