Argentina reported 14.29 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.56 suicides per 100,000 people.
Of the 6,166 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 5,069 were men suicides and 1,096 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 24.12 per 100,000 men and for women 4.96 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Argentina suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 2,837 homicides in Argentina, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.2 suicides.
