In August, vehicle registrations in United States grew by 4.2% with respect to August of 1986. In total, 1,400,600 cars were registered and 15,864,000 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 0.48% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of August is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 441,400, 11.72% more than in August of 1986.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 959,200, which represents a figure of 1.07% more than in August of 1986.
