In February, vehicle registrations in United States fell by 2.86% with respect to February of 1986. In total, 1,148,400 cars were registered and 15,989,100 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 1.78% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of February is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 374,000, 6.1% more than in February of 1986.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 774,400, which represents a figure of 6.67% less than in February of 1986.
