Suicides grow in Zambia

By 2007, suicides in Zambia increased by 17 people to at 818 suicides On average, there are 2 suicides per day.

In Zambia there were 6.42 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 818 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 625 were men suicides and 194 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.32 per 100,000 men and for women 3.05 per 100,000 female.
