Suicides fell in Solomon Islands

By 2005, suicides in Solomon Islands increased by 1 people to at 41 suicides

In Solomon Islands there were 8.81 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.34 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 41 recorded suicide cases in 2005, 30 were men suicides and 11 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 12.17 per 100,000 men and for women 4.78 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Solomon Islands suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 26 homicides in Solomon Islands, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.6 suicides.
