Of the 359 recorded suicide cases in 2018, 278 were men suicides and 81 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 26.77 per 100,000 men and for women 7.77 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Slovenia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 19 homicides in Slovenia, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 18.9 suicides.
