By 2005, suicides in Rwanda increased by 6 people to at 928 suicides On average, there are 3 suicides per day.

In Rwanda there were 10.55 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 10.34 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 928 recorded suicide cases in 2005, 815 were men suicides and 113 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 18.77 per 100,000 men and for women 2.42 per 100,000 female.
