In 2005 around 219 suicides occurred in Liberia, 15 less than in 2004.
Liberia reported 6.79 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.34 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 219 recorded suicide cases in 2005, 172 were men suicides and 47 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.66 per 100,000 men and for women 2.83 per 100,000 female.
