Japanese CPI increased up to 4.4% year-on-year in January of 2023

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Japan in January of 2023 was 4.4%, 4 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.6%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2023 is 0.6%

We must highlight the increase of 1.5% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 7.4%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Clothing and footwear of -1.5%, and an interannual variation of 3.2%.
