If we look at the minimum salary in Pakistani Rupees, which is the official currency in Pakistan, we can see that, this year, it was 17,500 Pakistani Rupees and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 2,500 Pakistani Rupees per month from the previous year, 16.67%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2018 which was 7.3%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
