Jamaica is at the 47º position of the Global Right to Information Rating

The transparency law of Jamaica has been in force since 2002 and with it has earned 88 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Jamaica is now ranked 47 in the transparency ranking formed by 100 countries, meaning it is among those that must improve its laws in order to guarantee access to information.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
