In Trinidad and Tobago, CO2 emissions during 2014 have fallen 0.131 megatons, 0.36% compared to 2013.
CO2 emissions in 2014 were 35.899 megatons, making Trinidad and Tobago is the 117th conutry in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Trinidad and Tobago, have decreased in 2014, in which they have been 26.5 tons per inhabitant.
Trinidad and Tobago belongs to the group of countries that emit the most CO2 per inhabitant.
Finally, it is interesting to observe the behavior f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Trinidad and Tobago, has emitted 0.82 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, a lower figure than in 2013. Trinidad and Tobago is one of the least efficient countries in environmental terms, as it is among the countries that send the most CO2 into the atmosphere for every $ 1,000 of GDP.
In the table we can see the evolution of CO2 emissions, which have grown since 2004, as have per capita emissions and, on the contrary, CO2 emissions per $ 1,000 of GDP.
However, in the last five years, total emissions have decreased in Trinidad and Tobago, as have emissions per capita, then the situation is improving.
