In Sierra Leone, CO2 emissions during 2013 have grown 0.141 megatons, 14.43% compared to 2012.
CO2 emissions in 2013 were 1.118 megatons, making Sierra Leone is the 30th conutry in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Sierra Leone, have increased in 2013, in which they have been 0.16 tons per inhabitant.
Sierra Leone is one of the countries with the lowest CO2 emissions per inhabitant.
Finally, it is interesting to observe the behavior f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Sierra Leone, has emitted 0.08 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, a lower figure than in 2012.
