In 2013, CO2 emissions in Dominican Republic have fallen 0.393 megatons, 1.8% compared to 2012.
CO2 emissions in 2013 were 21.46 megatons, making Dominican Republic is the 102th conutry in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Dominican Republic, have decreased in 2013, in which they have been 2.09 tons per inhabitant.
Regarding evolution f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Dominican Republic, has emitted 0.16 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, a lower figure than in 2012.

Total carbon dioxide emissions have also increased in the last five years, although in this period at least per capita emissions have been reduced.
