Suicides fell in Georgia

By 2007, suicides in Georgia increased by 13 people to at 216 suicides

In Georgia there were 4.93 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 216 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 171 were men suicides and 45 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 8.22 per 100,000 men and for women 1.96 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Georgia. However, in Georgia in 2007 there were there were 330 homicides, then, homicides are more common than suicides. There were 1.5 homicides per suicide.
