Number of suicides increases in Djibouti

In 2007 around 65 suicides occurred in Djibouti, 5 more than in 2006.

Djibouti reported 8.1 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 10 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 65 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 44 were men suicides and 21 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.19 per 100,000 men and for women 4.92 per 100,000 female.
