In Denmark there were 10.6 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 10 suicides per 100,000 people.
Of the 581 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 401 were men suicides and 180 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14.8 per 100,000 men and for women 6.5 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Denmark suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 39 homicides in Denmark, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 14.9 suicides.
