In May, vehicle registrations in United States fell by 7.39% with respect to May of 1989. In total, 1,332,100 cars were registered and 14,578,700 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 5.3% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of May is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 459,700, 3.14% less than in May of 1989.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 872,400, which represents a figure of 9.48% less than in May of 1989.
