China rises the national minimum wage

In 2013, the national minimum wage in China remained fixed at €157.5 per month, that is 1,890 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Chinese yuan, which is the official currency in China, we can see that, this year, it was 1,295 Chinese yuan and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 157.5 Chinese yuan per month from the previous year, 13.85%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2012 which was 2.5%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, China is in 65 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 106 of the list.
