The minimum wage goes up in Armenia

In 2013, the national minimum wage in Armenia remained fixed at €84.6 per month, that is 1,015 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Dram, which is the official currency in Armenia, we can see that, this year, it was 45,000 Dram and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 12,500 Dram per month from the previous year, 38.46%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2012 which was 3.2%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Armenia is in 88 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 106 of the list.
