Since March 2021, the national minimum wage in Argentina remained fixed at 235.8 € per month, that is 2,830 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Argentinian pesos, which is the official currency in Argentina, we can see that, this year, it was 21,600 Argentinian pesos and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 1,013 Argentinian pesos per month from the previous year, 4.92%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2020 which was 36.1%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
