The transparency law of Guyana has been in force since 2013 and with it has earned 69 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Guyana is now ranked 78 in the transparency ranking formed by 100 countries, meaning it is among those that must improve its laws in order to guarantee access to information.
This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
