In Turkmenistan, CO2 emissions during 2014 have fallen 1.784 megatons, 2.7% compared to 2013.
CO2 emissions in 2014 were 64.405 megatons, making Turkmenistan is the 134th conutry in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Turkmenistan, have decreased in 2014, in which they have been 11.78 tons per inhabitant.
Finally, it is interesting to observe the behavior f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Turkmenistan, has emitted 0.95 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, a lower figure than in 2013. Turkmenistan is the second least efficient country in environmental terms, given the amount of CO2 it emits per $ 1,000 of GDP.
In the table we can see the evolution of CO2 emissions, which have grown since 2004, as have per capita emissions and, on the contrary, CO2 emissions per $ 1,000 of GDP.
Total carbon dioxide emissions have also increased in the last five years, as have per capita emissions, then the situation continues to worsen.
