CO2 emissions China 2013

CO2 emissions went up in China

In China, CO2 emissions during 2013 have grown 494.133 megatons, 4.8% compared to 2012.

CO2 emissions in 2013 were 10,782.993 megatons, making China is the country that has polluted the most with its CO2 emissions during 2013 in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.

In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in China, have increased in 2013, in which they have been 7.8 tons per inhabitant.

Finally, it is interesting to observe the behavior f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, China, has emitted 0.71 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, a lower figure than in 2012. China is one of the least efficient countries in environmental terms, as it is among the countries that send the most CO2 into the atmosphere for every $ 1,000 of GDP.

In the table we can see the evolution of CO2 emissions, which have doubled since 2003, as have per capita emissions and, on the contrary, CO2 emissions per $ 1,000 of GDP.

Total carbon dioxide emissions have also increased in the last five years, as have per capita emissions, then the situation continues to worsen.
