Tax Agency

The Tax Agency is the common name for the State Tax Administration Agency. Attached to the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, its mission is the effective application of the state tax and customs system in a country o area.

The Tax Agency is responsible for managing and processing the taxes of citizens and companies, with the ultimate aim of collecting taxes with which to provide infrastructure and various services such as education, health and communications to citizens.

The Agency is in charge of both collecting taxes and preventing and controlling tax and customs fraud through control systems that allow it to detect non-compliance in tax matters. The Tax Agency does not prepare or interpret tax regulations.
