Shinto grow in Japan while believers dropped

The majority religion in Japan is Shinto, with 83.74% adherents. A very great percentage of Japanese, 88%, are religious in Japan.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Japan population, has dropped to 88%. As to Shinto it has increased, the previous survey recorded 76.55% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 83.74% follow it.

The second-largest religion in Japan is Buddhism, accounts for about 69.65% of the population.
