The latest survey data indicate believers share of Egypt population, has dropped to 99.23%. As to Islam it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 88% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 86.41% follow it.
The second-largest religion in Egypt is Christianity, accounts for about 12.14% of the population.
