In Cyprus suicides remained fixed

By 2007, suicides in Cyprus remained at 19 suicides

In Cyprus there were 2.5 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Cyprus has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 19 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 15 were men suicides and 4 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 4 per 100,000 men and for women 1 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Cyprus suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 13 homicides in Cyprus, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.5 suicides.
