In 2007 occurred 483 suicides in Republic of the Congo. This year, 7 fewer people committed suicide than in 2006. In Republic of the Congo, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

Republic of the Congo had 14.22 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 10 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 483 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 362 were men suicides and 121 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 18.39 per 100,000 men and for women 6.08 per 100,000 female.
