Romania had 8.33 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.11 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 1,588 recorded suicide cases in 2023, 1,334 were men suicides and 254 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14.39 per 100,000 men and for women 2.59 per 100,000 female.
