By 2007, suicides in Cambodia increased by 9 people to at 1,465 suicides In 2007, on average 4 Cambodians committed suicide every day.

In Cambodia there were 10.66 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 10 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 1,465 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 906 were men suicides and 559 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 13.37 per 100,000 men and for women 8.06 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Cambodia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 393 homicides in Cambodia, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 3.7 suicides.
