Of the 203 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 152 were men suicides and 51 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 15.8 per 100,000 men and for women 5.06 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Botswana. However, in Botswana in 2007 there were there were 280 homicides, then, homicides are more common than suicides. There were 1.4 homicides per suicide.
