Life expectancy of India goes up to 70.91 years

In 2019 the life expectancy in India increased to 70.91 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 72.4 years and for men 69.53 years.

India’s position worsened with respect to the 194 countries we publish said data, dropping from the 123th in 2018 to 124th in 2019.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in India over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 2018, when it was 70.71 years, which is the same of what happens compared to 2009, when it was 66.51 years.
