Life expectancy of India goes up to 70.12 years

In 2016 the life expectancy in India increased to 70.12 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 71.5 years and for men 68.81 years.

India’s position worsened with respect to the 194 countries we publish said data, dropping from the 121th in 2015 to 122th in 2016.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in India over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 2015, when it was 69.64 years, which is the same of what happens compared to 2006, when it was 65.41 years.
