Belgians CPI increased up to 12.3% year-on-year in October of 2022

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Belgium in October of 2022 was 12.3%, 10 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 2.4%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2022 is 10.8%

We must highlight the increase of 7% in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, until its interannual rate reached 33.9%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Alcoholic beverages and tobacco of -4.7%, and an interannual variation of 6.2%.
