In October, vehicle registrations in United States fell by 1.13% with respect to October of 1996. In total, 1,282,000 cars were registered and 15,362,500 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 1.08% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of October is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 622,200, 0.21% less than in October of 1996.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 659,800, which represents a figure of 1.98% less than in October of 1996.
