The minimum wage goes up in Kyrgyzstan

In 2013, the national minimum wage in Kyrgyzstan remained fixed at €13.4 per month, that is 161 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Som, which is the official currency in Kyrgyzstan, we can see that, this year, it was 840 Som and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 80 Som per month from the previous year, 10.53%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2012 which was 7.5%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Kyrgyzstan is in 101 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 106 of the list.
