Republic of Macedonia - Religions

Christianity, with 64.5% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 98.31%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of North Macedonia population, has dropped to 98.31%. As to Christianity it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 65.15% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 64.5% follow it.

The North Macedonia’s second-largest religion is Islam, accounts for about 33.8% of the population.
