Ukraine has a very high suicide rate

By 2007, suicides in Ukraine increased by 259 people to at 11,802 suicides In 2007, on average 32 Ukrainians committed suicide every day.

In Ukraine there were 25.55 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, well above the world average of 10 suicides per 100,000 people.

Ukraine has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 11,802 recorded suicide cases in 2007, 9,902 were men suicides and 1,900 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 46.49 per 100,000 men and for women 7.63 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Ukraine suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 2,646 homicides in Ukraine, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 4.5 suicides.
