In August, vehicle registrations in United States fell by 2.33% with respect to August of 1995. In total, 1,333,400 cars were registered and 15,442,100 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 1.16% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of August is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 588,300, 5.19% more than in August of 1995.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 745,100, which represents a figure of 7.54% less than in August of 1995.
