Growth of believers and Islam in Bangladesh

Islam, with 89.01% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.87%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Bangladesh population, has increase to 99.87%. As to Islam it has also increased, the previous survey recorded 88.3% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 89.01% follow it.

The Bangladesh’s second-largest religion is Hindu, accounts for about 9.94% of the population.
