In 2019 Serbia public debt was 24,681 million euros27,632 million dollars, has increased 858514 million since 2018.
This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 53.64% of Serbia GDP, a 1.94 percentage point fall from 2018, when it was 55.58% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Serbia debt. It has risen since 2009 in global debt terms, when it was 10,995 million euros 15,319 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 33.93%.
According to the last data point published, Serbia per capita debt in 2019 was 3,563 euros3,989 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 3,421 euros 4,042 dollars, afterwards rising by 142 euros53 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,505 euros2,097 dollars .
The position of Serbia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 109 in the list of debt to GDP and 115 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
