In 2017 Senegal public debt was 9,037 million euros 10,209 million dollars, has increased 8361,132 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 48.33% of Senegal GDP, a 0.52 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 47.81% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Senegal debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 1,936 million euros 2,654 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 18.55%.
According to the last data point published, Senegal per capita debt in 2017 was 570 euros644 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 532 euros 589 dollars, afterwards rising by 38 euros55 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 163 euros224 dollars .
The position of Senegal, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 89 in the list of debt to GDP and 41 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
