In 2020 Serbia public debt was 27,085 million euros30,937 million dollars, has increased 2,8243,777 million since 2019.
This amount means that the debt in 2020 reached 58.37% of Serbia GDP, a 5.6 percentage point rise from 2019, when it was 52.77% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Serbia debt. It has risen since 2010 in global debt terms, when it was 12,850 million euros 17,036 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 41.19%.
According to the last data point published, Serbia per capita debt in 2020 was 3,942 euros4,502 dollars per inhabitant. In 2019 it was 3,503 euros 3,921 dollars, afterwards rising by 439 euros581 dollars, and if we again check 2010 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,772 euros2,349 dollars .
The position of Serbia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2020 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 108 in the list of debt to GDP and 116 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
