In 2016 Serbia public debt was 25,289 million euros 27,993 million dollars, has decreased 168 252 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 73.07% of Serbia GDP, a 2.95 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 76.02% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Serbia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 9,859 million euros 12,379 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 40.3%.
According to the last data point published, Serbia per capita debt in 2016 was 3,592 euros3,976 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 3,597 euros 3,991 dollars, afterwards dropping by 5 euros 15dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,333 euros1,673 dollars .
The position of Serbia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 140 in the list of debt to GDP and 114 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
