Icelanders CPI increased up to 7.2% year-on-year in April of 2022

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Iceland in April of 2022 was 7.2%, 5 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 1.2%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2022 is 3.9%

We must highlight the increase of 3.1% in the prices of Transport, until its interannual rate reached 11.4%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Communication of -0.5%, and an interannual variation of -8%.
