In 2017 Seychelles public debt was 844 million euros 954 million dollars, has decreased 46 32 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 63.64% of Seychelles GDP, a 5.41 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 69.05% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Seychelles debt. It has gone down since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 1,087 million euros 1,489 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 144.05%.
According to the last data point published, Seychelles per capita debt in 2017 was 8,809 euros9,951 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 9,405 euros 10,410 dollars, afterwards dropping by 596 euros 459dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 12,785 euros17,522 dollars .
The position of Seychelles, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 128 in the list of debt to GDP and 146 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
