In 2016 Seychelles public debt was 891 million euros 986 million dollars, has increased 4750 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 68.99% of Seychelles GDP, a 1 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 67.99% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Seychelles debt. It has gone down since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 1,093 million euros 1,372 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 135.07%.
According to the last data point published, Seychelles per capita debt in 2016 was 9,409 euros10,415 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 9,073 euros 10,066 dollars, afterwards rising by 336 euros349 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 12,859 euros16,145 dollars .
The position of Seychelles, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 137 in the list of debt to GDP and 148 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
