In 2020 Lebanon public debt was 32,318 million euros36,884 million dollars, has decreased 45,96850,765 million since 2019.
This amount means that the debt in 2020 reached 150.58% of Lebanon GDP, a 21.69 percentage point fall from 2019, when it was 172.27% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Lebanon debt. It has gone down since 2010 in global debt terms, when it was 39,646 million euros 52,603 million dollars , while improved as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 136.83%.
According to the last data point published, Lebanon per capita debt in 2020 was 5,707 euros6,513 dollars per inhabitant. In 2019 it was 11,419 euros 12,784 dollars, afterwards dropping by 5,712 euros 6,271dollars, and if we again check 2010 we can see that then the debt per person was 8,004 euros10,620 dollars .
The position of Lebanon, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2020 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 184 in the list of debt to GDP and 126 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
